Waylon Forgey

Waylon is a U.S. Air Force (USAF) veteran proudly serving twelve years, including three tours of duty in support of the global war on terrorism. He is a graduate of the Heinz College CISO Executive Program of Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as well as the Executive Leadership Program of the Wharton Aresty Institute of Executive Education in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to joining TechGuard, Waylon served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Revenue Officer at Paragon Solutions US. With over 20 years of directly supporting the USAF, US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), the Naval Special Warfare Center (NSWC) and a variety of Intelligence Community agencies, Waylon brings a proven track record of building successful teams in the cyber security field ensuring flawless program execution for customers.

Waylon’s expertise in cyber, security, and defense includes:

  • Computer Network Operations (CNO) execution and staffing
  • Profit and Loss (P&L) management with a focus on business strategy, financial performance, and customer success
  • Expertise in tracking emerging technologies in the cyber domain and delivering them to the United States government to meet identified gaps 
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification
  • Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) training and certification
  • Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) experience with a focus on business performance
